Nocturnal Visions

Golden sunflowers with eyes watch silently as the world around them happens. A dragonfly floats peacefully, a frog prince sits beneath the toadstools and a unicorn peeks out from amongst the foliage. This piece was painted with iridescent and gemstone watercolors and ink on a repurposed kitchen cabinet door. It has been embellished with holographic details and the frame is holographic gold.

Rabbit Moon

This piece was created with ballpoint pen and a little tiny bit of watercolor (the rabbit's eye). The moon and outside of the painting are holographic silver and gleam in the light. This piece measures 18"x18"

This incredibly detailed ballpoint sketch and watercolor painting depicts huge banyan trees. All over the trees branches are skeletons: sitting, exploring, swinging and sleeping. Within the ballpoint sketched bark of the banyans are nude humans and haunting faces. A Chamaeleon faces right in the upper branches. A toucan rests on an upper left branch with a hovering bumblebee nearby. The trees are black and white, but have been embellished with holographic gold highlights. The grass amongst the roots is green, the sky behind the tree, indigo blue. A blood red sun can be seen peeking out behind the banyan's branches. This painting was mounted to a white repurposed kitchen cabinet door and measures 17.5 by 22 inches. It was inspired by a trip to Florida's Key West.

This small 8 by 8 inch piece was created for Valkarie Gallery's Chinese New Year invitational 2021 show. A tiger skull heads from left to right. The skull has holographic silver details. In the tiger skull's jaws lies a crushed skeleton rat with blood dripping out of the tiger's mouth. The rat represents 2020 (year of the rat - and year of Covid!) It depicts a golden snake slithering from bottom to top, circling back around itself to form a circle. within the circle writhe red worms and rats. Outside of the snake and the circle, Moths thrive and flowers bloom in indigo blue. This piece represents how we can become trapped in the worries of our own minds, while the world and all of it's beauty blooms around us. The snake symbolized rebirth, shedding those thoughts and finding amazing reasons to hang in there.
